CLUB AWARDS

Tom Mach Award
Best Junior/Beginner
Tom Mach along with his love customs and hotrods, was always interesting in helping
children. One of his many good deeds was to help set up and run a model car club for “at
risk” children at their school in Houston.

Rodney Miller Award
Best Customization
Rodney liked to customize and kit bash his models, whether to make something out of the
ordinary or to build a model of a vehicle just not available in kit form. This award will
go to the best customized/modified model, regardless of the category entered.

Jim Summey Award
Best ’32 Ford
Jim was a founding member of HAMS. His favorite modeling subjects were ’32 Fords.
We honor Jim by presenting this award to the best ’32 Ford entered in the contest.

Jeff Towns Award
Most Creative and Unusual
A long-time HAMS member, Jeff also expressed his creativity through the building of 1:1
art cars. The winner of this award will not necessarily be a perfectly built model, but
it will be the one showing the greatest artistry and creativity.
